BREAKTHROUGH!

(2 Sam 5:20) So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, "The LORD has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water." Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.

Have you been trying to push ahead but something or someone is holding you back? Are there hindrances in your way as you try to move forward in life? Are you tired of those obstacles that are keeping you from where you want to be? Then you need a breakthrough!

The Philistines came against David to defeat him. As they deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephraim, David inquired of the Lord if he should attack. God told him to go up and assured him the Philistines would be delivered into his hands. That’s exactly what happened. David defeated them there in the valley and changed the name of the place to Baal Perazim, which means “master of breakthroughs.” This was because the Lord had broken through his enemies like a breakthrough of water.

So, what are you facing today in your “valley?” What enemy lies out there that is working to defeat you? Be like David and inquire of the Lord. God will show you what to do. And as you move forward God will break through that obstruction like a breakthrough of water. Those barriers will be swept away as God gives you a flood of victory. Don’t try to breakthrough yourself or you’ll have a breakdown. Let God breakthrough that tangled mess and I guarantee you . . . you will be blessed.

The Lord is the Master of breakthroughs and He’s going to be coming through for you soon!
