(Deu 28:13) "And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath . . .
I have a new friend. It’s interesting how we met. I can’t exactly tell you when but he just kind of wandered into my life. We were never properly introduced but now we are quite the “pals.” To tell you the truth I don’t really like the guy. I’ve tried to hint around to him that we really aren’t compatible in our friendship. But he’s the clingy type. I’ve been at a loss as to what to do. I didn’t even know his name until recently. I just knew his initials . . . A.F.B. I kept guessing what it stood for. Alfred Frank Bailey? Arthur Fredrick Basinski? Air Force Base? But putting words to how I was feeling I finally figured it out . . . Always Feeling Behind!
Has my friend made it into your neighborhood? I bet you he has. He has a way of getting around and befriending everybody. What are you and I going to do? Do you think we could kind of do an intervention on him and tell him that’s he’s too dysfunctional for a healthy life to have around? Hey . . . good idea . . . let’s do it! This is how we’ll deal with him:
I WILL PRAY ABOUT MY DAY – (Psa 5:3) My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.
I WILL USE GOOD JUDGMENT IN MAKING DECISIONS - (Eph 5:15-16) See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
I WILL TRUST THE LORD TO GET MY WORK DONE - (Psa 37:5) Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
I WILL LEAVE FOR TOMORROW WHAT GOD HAS NOT ORDAINED FOR TODAY - (Mat 6:11) Give us this day our daily bread.
I think that will take care of ole’ A.F.B. And I believe that will put us under A. Father’s Blessing!
