(Phil 4:8) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things.
Penny for your thoughts. Are you a positive or a negative person? Is your thinking upbeat or black and blue? And since speech reflects thought, are your words cheery or dreary? Then come into the sunshine brother and receive a “Be positive” transfusion!
Christians have every reason to be positive. Just think about it. Jesus is risen. You’re born again. Jesus promised you abundant life. The next stop is heaven! But you say all that’s good but what about my aches and pains? What about my trials and tribulations? What about no money in the bank? What about the lack of prospects for the future?
From prison Paul wrote the happy book of Philippians. From there he made this affirmation to “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! (Phil 4:4) From there he said to learn contentment (Phil 4:11-12). From there he said to think on true, noble, just, pure, lovely, good, virtuous, and praiseworthy things. Does that reflect your mindset?
Do you know that a positive attitude will elevate your mood and can even contribute to your greater health? But the problem is we develop bad-thinking habits. They become grooves in our brain and those grooves become like road ruts that are hard to get out of. But when you receive a “Be positive” transfusion you will be able to rise up from the pit into a new pattern of praise. You’ll develop fresh brain grooves that will put your feet to dancing. And watch what happens to you socially. People will like to be around you because they find you uplifting and encouraging. And that’s what people need in life. Doors will open for Christ because your elevator is going up!
Don’t be “A negative” type of believer. Ask the Lord for a “Be positive” transfusion today!
(Phil 2:5) Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.
(Phil 4:13) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
