DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

(Psa 113:9) He grants the barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!

The secular media loves to profane what is sacred. They love to spoof that which is noble and upright because they just can’t believe there are decent people left in society who haven’t given in to the liberal mores of our generation. So, they mock and scorn. It must make them feel better for the sorry life they are living. They obviously don’t want to acknowledge what is sinful and disgraceful and an affront to a holy and righteous God and the precepts He has given in His Word. But, what do you expect from a world that has cast off all restraint and suppressed the truth of God? Take the commandments out of the courthouse and then watch what appears: Nudity at the Superbowl, gay marriages, and you know the rest. (Rom 1:18-32)

Look at the attack on the family today. Boy, feminism has really worked hasn’t it? And men abdicating their scriptural role as the head of the family? And the kids doing what they want because the parents want to be their kid’s “buddy” and not harm their psyche? Did you read about how parents are allowing their children to play those violent and sexually explicit video games? And video-game makers are wondering if there is any correlation between content and crime in our society? Didn’t they read about how that young adult killed and then mutilated his mother according to what he saw on a popular TV program? Ah, but what do you expect when you can’t say a prayer at school and when “under God” is now threatened to be removed from the honor to our flag and country?

Here’s to all those women who have chosen Christ over culture. We applaud you for doing what Scripture says: (Titus 2:4-5) that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. We tip our hat to you for your passionate pursuit to be a virtuous instead of a vain woman. (Pro 31:30) Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. You’re under a lot of pressure from the world but we honor you and support you in your desire to be a “daughter of Sarah” (1 Pet 3:1-6).

It has been said, “The hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world.” Keep on rocking, sister, because you’re making a difference more than you know!
